We have family in the area and we’re looking for somewhere to stay while we visited. This place was perfect for us! So peaceful and beautiful. It was very clean and had everything we needed and more. We will definitely stay here again when we are visiting family.

Looking for a place to stay while doing sections of the Appalachian Trail we found Lisa's listing. Short drive to the trailhead and close enough to surrounding towns. The cottage is set in the most beautiful location that there are no words to describe it, you have to see it to believe it! Our morning and evening walks with Lucy our cattle dog with breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset. We had forgotten one toothbrush and Lisa had one there. Everything was clean and comfy. We bring covers and a bed for Lucy but Lisa provides them also. No issues with the internet. Sitting on the front porch at night looking across the creek was so peaceful! While being there in the fall we had the added beauty of the color of the trees we are sure it is as beautiful in all seasons and we hope to return in the spring. Seeing the deer and geese was an added treat. It was clear from day 1 that Lisa was there to provide any assistance if needed but everything was perfect! A megahost!

Could not say enough good things about this place. Very private, scenic and peaceful. The perfect getaway.

We loved the location and beauty. But it was overpriced for the size and quality of the cabin. Adjoining bedrooms were separated by a thin wall that blocked light but not sound. No entrance walk way. So got wet and brought grass clippings to the house and car every time we left or entered. But it was well equipped with supplies, snacks and pancake mixes. If you bring groceries and like being alone this is the place. Literally at the end of the road. No traffic. Lots of deer. Meadows and hills all around. But know that it is 40 minutes over a "tail of the dragon" to Marion or Tazewell which are the closest towns. Saltville and I-77 can be reached without climbing mountains but they are closer to an hour away. We can't comment about Lisa as a host because we had no need to contact her during our stay. She did tell us the cabin was ready for check-in hours ahead of time.
