Frenchtown is a charming French fishing village nestled in the harbor of Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. Traditional bright Caribbean wood houses cling to the hillsides, and fishing boats bob in the sea. This slice of paradise is close to downtown and the waterfront leading to endless shopping, restaurants, art galleries, museums, and excursions. The harbor is a beautiful area for a morning or afternoon run; it is flat and fully equipped with sidewalks stretching as far as 2.5 kilometers (1.5 miles).
Around the corner from the studio, two local farmer's markets sell fresh fruits, vegetables, and seafood regularly, as well as a couple of grocery stores within walking distance. Frenchtown has everything you need to enjoy St. Thomas: the Frenchtown Harbor Marina, local eateries, a laundromat (they have a wash & fold laundry service), gambling clubs, and a vibrant nightlife are all within a few minutes walk. Because the airport, seaplane, and ferry terminals are nearby, you have limitless access to the surrounding Caribbean islands.

There are several options for transportation in the area. You can catch a taxi, ride the public bus, or hop on an island safari, and their stands are a quick 5-minute walk from the studio. There is so much to do nearby that renting a car is unnecessary, but if you want, there is a reserved spot outside the studio.
