Cool, charming old house in a small town, right by downtown and the Greenbrier River Trail. Decor and appointments in the rooms were unique and tasteful. I especially appreciated the secure bicycle parking area. They had an eating area stocked with snacks and breakfast foods, which was really nice because there was not much open in the town. The hosts were friendly and quick to help out with questions.

The hosts were wonderful and they stocked a small kitchen with coffee and some snacks which was really nice! But it was further from Snowshoe then advertised (about 45 min away, not 30 min) which is the main reason we chose this location. We were very surprised at the final price given the age of the property, location and overall feel. In the middle of the night, an extremely loud ‘air raid like’ siren went off RIGHT outside our window, which I was worried meant a tornado or some other emergency we needed to take cover for. To the hosts credit he responded quickly at 1:30a and said it was the volunteer fire department and just something that happened in a small town. That was a little jarring. Not sure if that’s an every night thing or not. There is a restaurant, a grocery store, a drug store and a bar in town. Lots of places are boarded up. Options are a bit limited so if you are coming from snowshoe - consider eating there first.

Suite was as described in a cute old-timey Inn. Got into it without any hassle and Geoffrey was responsive to our questions. Would stay again.

Historic, well decorated accommodations close to the Greenbrier River Trail with sheltered parking for bicycles.
