The apartment is in a safe, stylish, and central neighborhood. Sylvain is friendly and helpful. It was great to have a kitchenette, bed, shower, and toilet just down the hall. Everything was very clean.

Wenn man sich vorbereitet, täglich (mehrmals) sechs Stockwerke zu laufen und nicht zu viel Gepäck hat, ist es der schönste Ort in Paris: mitten im Marais, eine wunderschöne ruhige und trotzdem zentrale Lage. Die Matratze ist sehr gut, die Dusche im Zimmer sehr praktisch. Nur die Küche könnte ein bisschen besser ausgestattet sein. Das Schneidebrett hat Sylvain aber sofort gebracht, als ich darum gebeten habe.

What a great value! Not only is this studio in Le Marais area, but Sylvain is the perfect host. The metro is literally steps away and a fab restaurant (Chez Janou) is around the bldg. Good thing for the spiral staircase (no elevator) to 6th flr. to burn off all that good food. The studio may be small (8.5 X 14ft), but Sylvain really has it very clean and stocked with everything needed for a very comfortable stay.

Sylvain was a lovely host. Apartment was a cozy little nook to come home to in the evenings after long days exploring, and I was able to comfortable walk to many different parts of the city from here. For a solo backpacker or someone that travels light and wants to save money, this spot is fantastic. BTW, there were complaints about the bed in past reviews that have since been addressed. The mattress is on the firmer side but very comfortable with a lovely cozy duvet. All that being said, if you have any kind of mobility challenges… or even a big suitcase… this place is not a good choice for you. The stairs are intense. VERY Parisian and beautiful but after 4 days there I feel like I have buns of steel, and getting my carry-on suitcase down the stairs this morning was a bit harrowing. If you’re up for a bit of a scramble at the end of the day, this place is a fantastic deal!
