From the minute we arrived we felt welcome. Steve went above and beyond to assist us, driving with us to the local car park, carrying our bags, recommending restaurants and making reservations on our behalf. It is hard to believe he is the owner of the hotel. He even prepared breakfast for us and made a special trip to the grocery store to get us oat milk. Steve is very passionate about what he does and it shows in treats his guests. The room was spotless. We would give it 10 out of 10. The location is incredible. It’s just footsteps from the beach. The ambience and decor of the hotel was unique and very romantic. Ideal for first dates and romantic getaways. We will definitely be going back! We would highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality accommodations delivered with a friendly vibe. Thank you Steve for a great weekend!!!!!

We stayed at Chapter 1 this past weekend as we were competing in the annual Ironman event. I don’t actually think I could write enough positive things about Steve and our experience. The hotel, room, decor, comfort, cleanliness and welcome was beyond exceptional. Steve went above and beyond to welcome all of his guests who were mainly competing. He got up at 4am to prepare breakfast for everyone and even researched the best carbohydrate fuel to eat as a triathlete and bought this for us all. After a day of spectating in the rain my husbands jacket was soaking and Steve happily dried this for him on our return to the hotel. It was all these small things which added such as special touch to a wonderful stay. Thankyou Steve.

Welcoming and well decorated room although ours was small. Bed was supremely comfortable. Bathroom was generous in size. Breakfast library was a lovely addition with great coffee.

Chapter 1 is a luxurious oasis! I loved the theme that carried throughout. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. Book a restaurant in advance to avoid disappointment… though we had a lovely, last minute meal, a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Weymouth was not necessarily our type of destination, it was very lively on a hot day, but it’s on the doorstep of the amazing Dorset coastline! Beds were comfy and quiet! Breakfast was fresh with great coffee. Steve was a perfect narrator (host)!
