This was such a beautiful way to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. So peaceful and secluded. We did have to drive up dirt road but it was easily accessible. Once we got there Kris was very welcoming and showed us the ins and outs of the tipi as there are specific instructions to keep from breaking or ruining the beautifully constructed work. It was pretty cold as we did come in December but we were prepared so it was not so bad. The bed was very comfortable and there were heated blankets so it was very manageable. All the amenities keep this place from being a “roughing it” kind of camping which was very cool. But it is indeed camping and that’s what we wanted for our little vacation. We did not spend much time at the tipi during the day because there is really so much to do around the lake from hiking to eating to shopping to hot springs! This was really a magical experience and Kris made it ever better with his magnificent tipi!!

Brought my 12 year old son to this tipi for his birthday. We had a great time. It was so peaceful and nobody around to bother us. Kris the host is very kind and welcoming, made us feel right at home. We definitely want to make a return trip.

This tipi is at the top of the mountain. Beautiful views of the city, lake, and surrounding scenery. Everything is handmade, and there are a few instructions Kris will go over with you, you have to keep those in mind or could break something. If you’re coming in the summer, it is HOT. We arrived during the day and it was almost 100°. There is no AC, just some fans which keep the tipi from getting stuffy. The nighttime, however, was amazing. There was a nice chill, and sitting in the hottub will give you a beautiful view of the town, sky, and scenery. I would definitely stay here again, but would pick the days/times I would come wisely, there’s not much you can do there in hot weather, the hottub is just that, and the sauna works only during the day under the sun.

What a wonderfully magical place to stay. Kris is welcoming and kind. You can really see the intention and artistry he’s put into the Tipi and it’s surrounding area and amenities. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you for sharing this beautiful place to experience!
