Surrounded by nature, so beautiful and peaceful. I loved my stay here. Peter and Lata were incredibly kind & helpful, giving me lots of tips, sharing knowledge about Tonga and the local area & making sure I had enough provisions when my evening plans on my last night were unexpectedly cancelled. I believe they have recently replaced all of the curtains - which were lovely, fresh/clean and easy to use. The whole apartment was very clean, well set up for self catering & a very relaxing stay. I enjoyed a lot of time looking out at the view and listening to bird song & other sounds of nature around me.

️Peter and Lata were exceptional hosts. The location is surrounded by lush green foliage. It felt like we were in a mini rainforest. The apartment was spacious and included everything we needed for comfort and access to laundry facilities. Sadly, in the past few years, the island has been impacted by a tsunami, volcanic ash, a cyclone and drought which have taken a toll on the property. The pool wasn’t operating and there was debris all around the property, slightly detracting from an otherwise gorgeous setting. Although the apartment was clean, it could benefit from a deep clean as the smell of mold was evident. The property could again have the GREAT potential it once did as evident by previous ‘visitor book’ comments. The daily charge was more than fair, and the hosts truly a delight. If the in- and outdoor clean up is addressed, we would be more than happy to stay again, should we return to the island. Two happy Canadians ☺

The Slope is a self contained apartment attached to the hosts’ house. Peter and Lata were delightful and we were grateful for the water and milk provided. The house and garden were clearly once beautiful but are in need of significant maintenance and cleaning. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen, wifi and is spacious. We found the amount of mould in the bed and bathroom extremely unpleasant and the verandah was rendered unusable by the swarms of mosquitoes. Apparently they are still recovering from the tsunami which helps explain the dust but not the amount of rubbish around the property (old broken things not trash). There was building work during our stay and this was respectfully managed by both the hosts and the builder.

We highly recommend Lata&Peter's airbnb. We stayed here 19days and loved everything about it. Good location,clean,comfy bed, has everything we need during our stay!!!!!

Peter and Lata Helen’s place was great. It was quiet and beautiful, feeling like you’re tucked away in the forest. It is a bit of a walk into town, but it’s a nice walk by the water. Peter was very responsive and helpful, arranging for airport transfer and offering recommendations.
