We had a lovely stay at Hammel House, and the restaurant downstairs was also delicious. Everything was as advertised. Location was perfect for exploring downtown.

Hammel house is in a great location for activities in Waynesville. The rooms are all upstairs as far as I know. Breakfast was included and you can order off the menu. The only thing with breakfast was there was only one server and she was taking care of many tables .Poor thing was running constantly but she had a very upbeat happy manner never once complained.

Always one of my favorites. Feels like coming home to grandmas house. Wonderful food, great service and hospitality.

Husband and I stayed for the weekend and loved the entire trip! The Hammel was centrally located to all of the restaurants and shops! We parked at check-in and walked everywhere! We stayed in the Cardinal room and it was a great size and had everything we needed for the weekend! We enjoyed the breakfast and our dinner! Great weekend stay!

This room was beautiful and well appointed but when we told the staff that the room was too hot they explained that the thermostat was in another suite - that we then had access to - but they never checked to see if the AC was working correctly. It wasn't. We realized around 11PM that whatever we did with the thermostat had no effect on the room temp. No cold air was coming out of the vent. Luckily the night was cool so we opened all the windows. We chose not to call the number we were given, which is on us, but what could they do that late on a Sunday. Also there were not instructions for returning the key.
