James' hunting cabin was the perfect place for our post-Christmas family gathering. There was plenty of space for everyone. The setting is very private and serene. James was very responsive to questions and has a great sense of humor.

The home is gorgeous, the barn is gorgeous, the grounds are gorgeous. Everything you need or want is at right at your fingertips in this home. James is standing by if you need something. His generosity is immeasurable and overflowing. Highly recommended from this very satisfied tribe.

Our host Jamie was very accommodating to our diverse group. His home is perfect for a spiritual retreat or family reunion get away. When we were searching for a place to hold our spiritual retreat we knew just by looking at the ad that this home would be the ideal location. This proved to be true. The location was beautiful and the grounds gorgeous. The home had ample space indoors and acres outside, spacious yet intimate for quite a sizable group. Great for larger group events. The home provided multiple communal spaces for our family-style retreat. Highlights: meditating in the quiet light-filled barn, strolling across the lawns, observing deer and wild turkeys, cooking meals for a large group in the spacious kitchen with ample storage space, lots of space to park out front without having to move each other’s cars to drive in and out of the property. Perfect for a team building, family reunion or spiritual community weekend. Rustic and located far enough from neighboring homes to have privacy and not be overly concerned with sound transfer. If you are looking for an expansive, relaxing, space that is warm and cozy–this is the cottage for you! 
 We asked a lot of questions and Jamie was immediately responsive and able to address all of our needs, prior to the trip *and* during our stay. He was very clear about house rules and check in and check out guidelines, responsive to texts and phone calls, great communicator. His hosting style is very welcoming and personalized, he is generous of spirit. For example, he had a fire going out front of the house so when we showed up late because one of our cars broke down on the way, we felt immediately at home and were able to relax by the fire before we checked in. Not only the property but Jamie’s generosity as a host helped make it special. From beginning to end your hospitality was NEXT LEVEL! The property alone was absolutely perfect, the location, nature, amenities, cleanliness, decor, the barn, fire pit, BBQ. Beautiful and large, 23 acres. Expansive field for meetings, movement workshops, children playing, and pitched tents. (We pitched four 2-3 person tents which only covered one small part of the yard). There are hiking trails on the property that are family and pet friendly, beginner level. Two fire pits - one in front of the house, and a large fire pit in the back yard that accommodates a large group. Big comfy wicker chairs round the fire pit in the backyard - no need to pack camping chairs, and plenty of room for everyone to make s’mores at the same time. There is fire wood available onsite too, which is a plus, just a few steps from each fire pit - out front by the front door, and out back under the deck.
 Copious deer sightings. Loved our deer neighbors, Like whole little deer families just popping up to say hello. The deers visiting at all times of the day by the driveway and in the far back of the yard made the home feel all the more tranquil. Starting the morning with a fresh cup of coffee or tea on the deck, watching the deer family slowly pass by in the yard - truly special !!! The view from the living room, kitchen, and deck: into the wide open field towards the barn was gorgeous and could also be enjoyed from upstairs rooms.
 The spacious deck, and the large barn out back contributed to making our stay an ideal magical getaway. Huge Barn with large space for meetings, and power strips and extension chords for musical instruments, laptop to make music/ have dance parties. Wifi access worked in the Barn all week-end long, no issues. Some of us camped out it was so nice at night, next to the line of trees to the right of house, so we had coverage from the sun in the morning and we were a little bit away from the backyard fire pit and the house, really felt like we were on a campsite! We relaxed all afternoon on the huge deck on the comfortable patio furniture, and the wide hammock. It accommodated all of us for our sit down meals, dance lessons, family meetings and our end of weekend group photo. The various tables on the deck and the massive gas grill was perfect for roasting yummy corn and kebabs and prepare large family dinners. It is so spacious and easily accessible from the living room with the kitchen next to the living room - easy to bring out dishes and clean up. The large set of dishes in the living room offers enough dinner plates, bowls, cups, small plates, serving dishes, and glasses for large family meals. The dishwasher handled clean up of pots, pans, dishes for three days (dishwasher soap provided). The chefs kitchen also has a wet bar in the back which was helpful for our group - we stored beverages and beverage station in the back of the kitchen, and had plenty of room to cook for our group. The kitchen is huge and spacious with snacks and coffee station, plenty of room for cooks in the kitchen, food in the large fridge that has an extra drawer to store cans/drinks, and a large freezer. There is a microwave in case you are wondering. The kitchen has absolutely everything, including Nutribullet for smoothies. No need to pack extra items for group or holiday meals. Also has Keurig *and* regular coffee maker *and* tea kettle, fully stored coffee station, and fully packed pantry with paper plates, napkins, cereal, canned goods, s’mores ingredients, seasoning, dressings, sauces. Check out the pantry before you go grocery shopping for your stay. The comfort and cleanliness of each bedroom allowed for peaceful, restful sleep. Rooms were cozy with space to store our clothing without tripping all over the place, good storage for luggage, and the A/C units worked well

fantastic place better than advertised. we will definitely do it again
