Jessica’s place is a uniquely appointed apartment. It was spacious, clean and comfortable and suited our needs. Here are some other things to know: - It is a downstairs apartment in an older home that has been renovated. You will hear some noise from the people upstairs, but nothing excessive. - This appears to be Jessica’s home that she rents out when she is traveling. It was surprisingly free of her family’s personal effects, except for a crib and high chair, which might be desirable if you have a small child. - The kitchen is good size with nice appliances and a huge dining table. There were plenty of plates, cups, glasses and utensils, but the pots and pans and knives are pretty beat up. - There is no living room! There are two very comfortable recliner chairs tucked into corners in the kitchen and entry way and there is a TV in the bedroom. Again, this didn’t spoil our visit, but it was a little odd and we completely overlooked it in the photos and description. - There is a lot of litter in the neighborhood and lots of cars parked along the street. We had no safety issues while we stayed here and we were able to park in the driveway, which was nice, but the overall condition of the neighborhood was a bit off-putting when we arrived. - The back yard was much nicer in the photos than in reality. As such, we did not feel comfortable using it. - Although the place was very clean (which we did appreciate!) the cleaning fee seemed a bit high at the equivalent of what we paid per night for the rental fee. Lynn, MA is a working-class town just north of Boston that has plenty of shopping and casual dining options. This is certainly an affordable lodging choice not too far from the city and the kitchen and off-street parking are a real bonus compared to staying at a hotel. The interesting and historic town of Salem is nearby as is the the Essex Coastal Scenic Drive, both of which were wonderful. All in all, we had a fine stay, but since this is a fairly new rental, we want to provide some detailed information to help future guests determine if it is right for them.

We enjoyed our stay in Lynn! I loved being in the backyard area as well - it was lovely!
