Hosting travelers since 1994, the Verdigre Inn is peaceful and comfortable. This Victorian-style, lovingly-restored home has original artwork throughout, a delightful front porch and guest rooms on the second floor. The romantic and spacious FLORAL ROOM features one queen bed, a private bathroom with claw-foot tub, couch, desk, plenty of books and large windows facing north and east. Refreshments and TV are in the guest lounge.

Always great place to stay.

I only wish I had spent more time at The Vergigre Inn. It was quiet, had great accommodations, was comfy, and was conveniently located less than a block from my friend's home. The price was excellent and next time I will book more than one night and save time to do more sightseeing and visiting with friends.

The mattress had a lovely deep memory foam on top and the pillows were heavenly. Many snacks were provided in the guest lounge. My husband enjoyed soaking his back in the long-slanted end of the claw-foot tub. The carpet had a few light stains, but overall everything was clean.

This is the. Prettiest air B&B I have ever stayed in! The host and her family are very friendly and wonderful people. Enjoyed my visit. I would highly recommend this home. There is a well stocked grocery store nearby.

Verdigre, est. 1887, is a Czech-heritage village with population 600 nestled in a scenic valley along the Verdigris Creek. The Inn is on a quiet residential side street uphill from downtown. All blocks have alleys down the middle. All the homes nearby were built in the 1900s. Lots of trees, gardens and flowers in the neighborhood. From our house we can see the K-12 school, the volunteer-manned firehall, historic St. Wenceslaus Church and hills east of town.

出行信息

Verdigre is ideal for walking, bicycling, golf carts, scootering, driving. Pretty much any kind of transportation is fine here. We are surrounded by gravel roads that truly are wonderful for bicycling (aka gravel grinding). There are restaurant options in town as well as 12 miles away (Niobrara) and 16 miles away (Creighton). Knox County is home to Niobrara State Park, the Santee Sioux and Ponca Tribes and several great little towns. Nationally renowned Ashfall Fossil Beds are less than 20 miles away.
