Joachim was very helpful. We were greeted by his wife and him when we arrived and shown round the apartment and the parking. The apartment itself was spotless and had all the amenities you could ask for, and the view was lovely. There was a bus right outside to take you to Funchal and a bakery a 2 minute walk down the road. It was nice to be greeted by the hosts rather than use a lock box, it made it much more welcoming when arriving and not knowing exactly where to go!

Super séjour chez Joachim ! Hôte réactif et disponible. L’appartement est grand avec tout le nécessaire disponible. Terrasse très agréable. Nous reviendrons sans hésité.

Appartement neuf, spacieux, avec tout le confort nécessaire. Décoration très jolie et moderne. Tout le nécessaire pour passer d agréables vacances. Deux grandes chambres avec matelas très confortables. Deux salles de bains completes avec douche et autre baignoire. Cuisine moderne avec tous les équipements électroménagers. L hôte a meme laissé quelques capsules a cafe, capsules pour le lave vaisselle et produit pour laver le linge. Très appréciable! Grand balcon avec vue sur la mer permettant de prendre ses repas a l extérieur. Joachim et son épouse ont été des hôtes adorables, sympathiques et bienveillants. Préoccupés a ce que nous soyons contents. Très réactifs aux messages. L appartement est situé dans un immeuble récemment construit. Proche d une boulangerie, d un supermarché. Et de divers restaurants très bons. Proche de l aéroport ( 15 min. ) et de Funchal (15 min. ) localisation centrale, parfaite pour visiter toute l ile.

What a great stay at Joachim and Ekaterina's place! We stayed for a month, making it the base for exploring Madeira by bus (the regular bus to Funchal is just steps away) and a few group tours to more distant hikes (also available to book in the neighbourhood). The two local grocery stores and excellent bakery provided much of what we needed. Short walks to the beach at Reis Magos, a nice hour-long walk up to the Christo Rei (where you can take a cable car down to Garajau beach), and a few blocks away from the lido at Galomar hotel (with both wild swimming and a pool open to the public - free during the winter). The apartment is spacious, modern, and well appointed. We cooked and did laundry, etc. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, but also unobtrusive. It really felt like "our" place for the month. The south facing sunny terrace was a huge plus, with a view of the sea over terracotta rooftops, beautiful at both dawn and dusk. Highly recommend!

Joachim und Katja sind hervorragende Vermieter, es hat uns so gut gefallen, daß wir bestimmt wiederkommen werden. Die Kommunikation war vorbildlich, nicht aufdringlich, aber immer ansprechbar und sofort behilflich. Wir werden die sehr schöne, ruhige und perfekt eingerichtete Wohnung gern weiterempfehlen.
