Very well located and quiet but a lot of walking involved and hilly whichever way you went, suited us but would be unmanageable if you were not fit so a car would be advisable. Accommodation was light and airy and good having two bathrooms.

We absolutely loved this appartment - amazing to be so close to the sea, spent quite a bit of time just relaxing on the spacious terrace with that fabulous view and the sound of the waves. Quiet cool bedrooms so we slept well, and a good few bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Loved both the pool, the sea (bring rock shoes as it’s stony) and the local swimming rock pools 5 mins walk away. Perfect holiday and great host - we will be back!

The sound of the ocean waves from the family room and kitchen area was wonderful. Kitchen very well supplied. Wish we could take the two couches home with us (very stylish, high quality and comfortable).

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful beach. Pool was clean and loved the direct access on to the beach. Rui was a great host and answered all my questions while we were there.

This was our second stay in this apartment and, as you might guess, we like this place very much. If anything the location has improved since our first visit in 2022 as the seafront promenade has been extended to the Poças do Gomes Tunnel, which links the walkway from Funchal to the Prai Formosa beach and makes access to Funchal much easier. Once again (see our review from February 2022), the standard of the accommodation was very high. The apartment is spacious, well and tastefully equipped and was very clean. Communication with the letting agent is very good. The view from the balcony is wonderful and a highlight of any stay is watching numerous sunsets from the balcony. The closest supermarket is a branch of Continente, which can be reached via the steep steps and sloping paths near the apartment building's entrance or, for a gentler climb, via the road. Overall highly recommended!
