Nele’s house is so beautifully designed with the most stunning views! It’s incredibly peaceful, the perfect place to get away from life for a bit - but with lots of great restaurants and attractions nearby. Bolsena town on the lake is a 20 min drive and is very shallow and perfect for kids. The house is kinda two houses joined together - so it’s great for two families (which we were) as you have your own space if you need it. We had a few issues with electricity while we were there but Barbara worked really hard to sort it out. Maybe worth mentioning as I didn’t notice this before booking - there’s no air con which is totally fine if it’s not too hot but when it got to 35-37 C for almost a week of our stay it was quite tough in some rooms/for the children. But all in all an amazing stay in a special place. Thank you Nele!

Das Haus war sehr modern und stylisch eingerichtet. Es ist neu und sauber gewesen. Leider gab es keine Toilettentüren und keine Zimmerschlüssel. In einem Zimmer unter dem Dach gibt es gar keine Türen.

The house is absolutely stunning and the view is phenomenal. It is surrounded by a forrest and it is beautifully quiet. Would absolutely come back!! There are a few tricky things about this house which are useful to know beforehand: the drive up to the house (2km) is quite challenging because it is a dirt track but with the right car it is manageable. Although I wouldn’t wanna drive there without a 4WD when it rains. Second thing to know is that there are quite some insects and scorpions because of the proximity to the forrest. As there is no AC, the only option to get rid of the heat is to open the windows but there is no fly screen. Therefore everything comes in…also scorpions 😣

The villa was beautiful and waking up to views of the lake and endless hills was breathtaking! We also took full advantage of the infinity pool and took some amazing pictures at sunset! Every bedroom had a bathroom which was also a plus! Nele was a good host and got back to me quickly. She even purchased baby cribs after we booked to accommodate the 2 infants in our group. We did however have to buy a few amenities (more toilet paper, more paper towels, hand dish soap, sponge) for our 4 night stay which was a little inconvenient as these are things we wouldn’t bring back home with us or would want to worry about. Otherwise it was a great spot for a relaxing family vacation!

Het huis was echt super in orde en idyllisch gelegen, alle nodige zaken waren ook voorzien. Communicatie was top en alles was duidelijk. Als enige opmerking kan ik misschien meegeven dat het soms moeilijk was om het fris in huis te houden, ‘s nachts openden we alle ramen om af te koelen, maar dan zat je wel sneller met insecten in de slaapkamer. De oprit was voor sommige wagens ook een uitdaging, maar dat was wel op voorhand vermeld. Bedankt voor de fijne week!
