Little Lodge is a modern family home in Polzeath. We are just up the hill from the beach and the house is a short walk from everything in the village. The house benefits from a large garden and decking with far-reaching countryside views. Little Lodge is a bright and contemporary 3 bedroom house in Polzeath. The front door leads to a modern open-plan living and kitchen area. This area has a fully fitted kitchen, dining table for 6, two sofas, and a wood-burning stove. Double doors take you straight from the kitchen area to the decking area which is perfect for BBQs, dining, and lounging on the sofa area. Also on the ground floor, there is a king room, bunk bedroom, family bathroom, and a storage room. The storage room has cleaning equipment, a high chair and cot, and deck chairs. Great house in a great location. Communication with Brian was easy and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Great location, perfect place for families and dogs, everything was perfect. Cornish gifts on arrival and no need at all to contact Brian. Would love to stay again.
Our family loved the little lodge- so private and relaxing. A perfect get away! Thanks Brian
Little Lodge is situated 500m up the hill from the sandy surfing beach of Polzeath, which is one of the best surfing beaches on the north coast with lots of cafes, restaurants, surf shops as well as surf lessons and board hire. The beach has life guards during the summer and Polzeath is a blue flag beach.
Daymer Bay is a stunning short walk away and is at the mouth of the Camel Estuary. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round. The beach leads all the way up to Rock. Rock is great for sailing, water skiing and other water sports. From here you can take the ferry over to Padstow and visit some of the famous Rick Steins restaurants or one of the many other great restaurants, cafes and bars. If you're more active, the camel trail is a flat, beside the river, bike trail along the estuary from Padstow through to Wadebridge with bike hire at each town.
A short drive away is Port Isaac, famous for Doc Martin and the fishermans friends, who often play for free on the platt in the summer.
The coast line footpath is spectacular whatever the sea state.
Other places to visit include the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, National Trust Gardens including Trelissick and Lanhydrock.
We have compiled a local guide of restaurants and activities, which show what we love around the area
Once in Polzeath you wont need to get in the car, unless you want to go exploring further afield. A car is the easiest way to arrive but you can get the train to Bodmin parkway or fly to Newquay from Heathrow, taxis are economical from both.
