Lares · 自然旅社里的独立房间 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · VIP Historical Room | Hacienda Lealtad
Enjoy the natural beauty surrounding this historic getaway. Transport yourself to the year 1830, the golden age for the coffee industry in Puerto Rico, in this restored historical Hacienda. Small historical room where, in addition to transporting you to another era, you connect with the nature and disconnect from everyday life. Where you can only hear the birds, the river and the country breeze. Our peacocks and ducks sometimes help this harmony full of peace. This restored room from the 1830s also has its original furniture from the time, so in addition to being a historical room, its furniture is an original antique piece. For this reason, we ask to all our guests to value these antique pieces and be careful and take care of them. Room Name: 'VIP Mariana Bracetti' This room located on the second floor of the building originally the Slave's Barracks. You have to go up a few steps to get to the room. The room has a full bed, bathroom with shower, dresser, mini fridge and balcony overlooking the river. In addition to the nature that surrounds our large and beautiful Hacienda, it is also accompanied by peacocks and ducks. Brief History of Hacienda Lealtad: Hacienda Lealtad is a historic coffee plantation in barrio La Torre, Lares, Puerto Rico. A large hacienda, it was founded in 1830, by Juan Bautista Plumey, a French immigrant, who arrived in Puerto Rico with enslaved people. It would become the largest coffee plantation in Lares, with over thirty slaves and hundreds of day laborers working the coffee farm. For many years the plantation was a large producer and exporter of coffee. After the restoration the Hacienda operate as a hotel, coffee shop and a living museum recreating the historical setting of the height of coffee production in Puerto Rico. Coffee growing in Puerto Rico has seen a resurgence and Hacienda Lealtad produces coffee under the brand Café Lealtad. The Café Bistro Hacienda Lealtad on Puerto Rico Highway 128 kilometer 55.8, is where groups meet for the start of their tour of the 19th century coffee plantation. And the rest of the story will be told and more antiques to see in your stay with us.
Hacienda Lealtad is beautiful. Grounds and historic buildings are kept in pristine conditions. We wanted to stay the night because we were going to Bohemia Cocina en Movimiento. The event was great, the staff for the restaurant and for the hacienda were all extremely hospitable. With that being said, our sleeping arrangements were not that comfortable, I do understand that they're trying to keep it furnished and appearing as an hacienda. It felt more like clamping than staying in a hotel. If you do plan on coming, other than when Bohemia is open (and if you bought tickets for it) that will be your only source for drinks/food, anything else you have to drive off property (all you get is a mini fridge).
This coffee plantation is fantastic! We visited on a weekday and had reserved two rooms, both were in very new condition. Note that there are no refrigerators in most rooms, and there is almost no food options nearby later at night, so bring food. Will come back again!
Hacienda Lealtad Bistro a few minutes outside the Hacienda is open.
Here you will find from breakfast, lunch, dinner and a lot of Lealtad coffee.
Our Bistro open Thursday to Sunday.
You can order from the room phone and request delivery or you can go personally since on weekends at night they have live music.
