This was a beautiful little townhouse right by the village. Friars was a great host and I will be back the next time I am in the area for work.

I work in Braintree from time to time and get fed up with hotels, particularly when I am travelling alone. Friars looked liked a good alternative and though a bit dearer I could save the difference by self catering. What a good call. It is a lovely space, I was very comfortable and chilled there. The way the TV is installed is amazing by the way. It ticked all my away for work boxes - good shower, comfy, not too soft bed, somewhere to work, parking and walking distance to work. If you are bothered by traffic noise it is on a busy road but there are no windows that actually face the street. More of a background rumble. I actually live rurally so probably notice this a bit more. I also arrived in the dark so finding the parking space and the various key pads was challenging but that was my fault for arriving late.
