10/10! We had the most amazing Christmas vacation at the trout house! The cabin was spacious, clean, well appointed, and comfortable! That’s not even close to the best part… the stream behind the cabin is the most tranquil and stunning sights and sounds that we’ve ever experienced in a cabin. While the area is pretty remote, you don’t even need to leave the property to find things to do all day! The hikes are great- strenuous enough for an active family and dog. We only left to find a farm for some fresh eggs and meat and to hit Ingles. There wasn’t much else close by to do, but we were plenty occupied on property! Chelsea is a fantastic host and was super sweet with my active communication during our stay. The theater room was an awesome surprise and kept us busy on the rainy days.

This place was amazing!!!!! A little hard to climb the dirt road in a sports car, but totally worth it!!!!! Everything about this place was spot on for a vacation. Literally fell in love with her property! Her grounds keeper came to check in on us after a storm; he talked us thru all of the trails on the property, gave us some cool places in town to see, and was genuinely happy to tell us about the area. If you go, turn off all the lights and watch the fire flies!

It was an absolutely beautiful place, soo peaceful and serene. The constant voice of creek water is absolutely amazing and something that so don't find easily right by your cabin! Kitchen was beautiful and well equipped. I wish rooms had King beds but queen beds were comfortable and clean. We did not know there was a movie theater room with awesome recliners in there, which was a nice surprise. I wish it had some kind of streaming service available other than just the cable, kids would have enjoyed a bit more. Had some nice board games which was great to relax at the end of the day. The driving instructions can be updated a bit because it did not include how long it will take on each road. Also, I know 2WD can make it but on wet road it was scary and over the bridge it was such a low clearance even for a regular car. I would recommend 4WD for peace of mind. Make sure you have all necessary things for your stay as on a rainy day, gravel rd felt pretty long and roads are curvy!
