Beautiful Cabin. There was a misunderstanding with the cleaning company but they took care of it the same night.
Lovely home...very nice surroundings...home was not quite as private as we had hoped, as you could see another home from the decks, but aside from that, it was exactly what we were looking for...peaceful, lots to do in and around the home, fully stocked, and was a very relaxing weekend.
Multiple things were wrong with this property. Outdoor fireplace does not work and according to the guest log hasn’t for months. The pull out sofa upstairs is broke. It was cluttered so no place to put up groceries. The sofas are old, dirty and feel broken. The logs provided had ants in them. There were flies in the house in the winter. The wii doesn’t work. The cue sticks are worn down and barely usable. The darts all bent. They have well water that smells like rotten eggs and metal. The hottub gave us an allergic skin reaction. The doctor advised that it probably hadn’t been cleaned well leading to the skin irritation. Items in the house was covered in dust. When notified about issues, there was no response till we checked out and that wasn’t anything more than them saying that the outdoor fireplace wasn’t listed and that the well water was fine and they will clean better for the next guest. There are great rentals in this area, I wouldn’t recommend this one.
This cabin gives that perfect cabin-feel with beautiful natural surroundings and a peaceful, private environment. Well located only 15 minutes from downtown Ellijay that has cute shops and restaurants. The home is extremely well-equipped with every kitchen utensil or pan/pot/plate you could need. They also provide firewood free of charge and other odds and ends that made this stay very convenient. That said, there were a couple downsides. There are many rugs throughout that seem in need of a deep clean (maybe just don’t do yoga on the floor). The rental company that owns the property is accustomed to communicating through email and tried multiple times to get me to use that instead of the Airbnb platform, which Airbnb highly recommends to not do. There were some confusing things within their instructions but they always clarified when I asked questions.
