Girl Getaways- relaxing, cozy decor and fireplace! Fishermen- ice fishing is around the block! Families- there’s a nice sandy beach with tether ball around the block and a playground, too! Horn HideAway is a peaceful retreat just outside of Gaylord, Mi. The Horn HideAway features 2 bedrooms and a loft space. Just to note, the loft space is not for young kids. There is a build-in ladder, very stable I might add, that must be climbed to reach the loft. Once there, you can close and lock it off. This large loft accommodates a queen and double bed with a dedicated workspace, including an extra monitor. We affectionately call this the “Birds’ Nest”. The kitchen has been completely updated within the last year and includes a new stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. A bar extends from the wall in the kitchen and accommodates 2 bar stools adjacent to the dining room table. Small kitchen appliances include coffee pot, crockpot, waffle maker, electric knife, electric mixer and griddle. There is a fire pit outdoors and several outdoor seating options. Some new marshmallow roasters are in the kitchen. If you need help with starting the fire, I keep some fire starter logs in the utility room. TV works and cell service is good. High speed internet recently installed and streaming TV services are available. Washer/Dryer Combo unit is located in the Utility Room. It’s small but works! The dryer takes awhile but I put a clothesline upstairs as well. My place has been built by and enjoyed by my family for the last 20 years! Surrounded by woods and very peaceful, it’s only 10 minutes outside of Gaylord!
