Nestled in the foothills of scenic, snow-capped Mt. Adams, adjacent to the Columbia River National Scenic Area and close to wind-surfing, Hood River Oregon, Lothlorien Woods Hide-a-way is a serene and charming, one-of-a-kind tree-house hidden in the forest with a view of snow-covered Mt. Overall, a beautiful setting with a stunning view of the mountain. We loved the range of outdoor seating options. Things worked smoothly and kitchen was well stocked with equipment/dishes (no oil though despite being listed, so bring your own!). Lovely wall hangings. Sitting in the hot tub was delightful, surrounded by trees, though we wished it could have been a couple degrees warmer and we couldn't get the jets to work. Unfortunately we could hear what sounded like a generator during much of our time there, and there was a bit more truck traffic in the area than we had anticipated, which detracted a bit from the remote feeling, though these are out of the hosts' control. Directions were crystal clear and we had no problem finding it.
The tree house was exactly how it was described, It was a nice place for a get away. The hosts were very nice, responsive and had good recommendations and good local information of the area.
Great treehouse cabin full of character and charm. I would absolutely say again. 100% recommend for those who know their way around safely maintaining indoor/outdoor fire. Don't forget to bring your slippers/house shoes!
Cozy little tree house surrounded by the forest. be prepared to be unplugged. no cell service, no wifi, no TV. I recommend downloading some music on the phone and bringing a Bluetooth speaker as the CD/tape player did not read any CDs. bringing coffee/tea is also recommended.
Lothlorien Woods Tree House is adjacent to the Columbia River National Scenic Area and offers an abundance of outdoor activity -- including white water rafting, kayaking, hiking, wind surfing, ultra-light planes and gliding, fishing, mountain climbing, and numerous other activities.
Only a few country miles removed from Hood River, Oregon and White Salmon, WA you will find world-class microbreweries, wineries, many and varied restaurants, art galleries, local artists, and shopping.
Only 80 Miles from PDX (Portland, Oregon International Airport). An automobile is necessary for travelling to the Tree House. Follow the directions we provide. GPS is unreliable in the mountains.
