Tucked within our 30-acre property, this idyllic hideaway offers a sanctuary of peace and quiet amidst the stunning Carmarthenshire countryside. Surrounded by rolling hills, valleys, and ancient forests, it serves as the perfect launchpad for exploring the landscapes and rugged coastline of west Wales. As night falls and the starlit skies unfurl above, enjoy cooking and gathering around an open fire pit. Designed for maximum connection to nature and indoor-outdoor living, no matter the weather with the kitchen and lounge fully covered unwind and reconnect to nature resetting your Circadian rhythm and recharging your inner batteries. Upon arrival, we'll personally greet you, introduce you to the area, and assist with any luggage or questions you may have then point you in the direction of your hut and adventure which is a 500m walk away from the courtyard. Facilities: The large secure courtyard provides parking and features a fridge to store perishables. Our off-grid sink uses water from barrels, sourced from our local spring and which is filtered for freshness. The bedroom offers a fully enclosed space for cozy nights, while the living area is designed to connect you with nature and support your circadian rhythm. The kitchen is equipped with cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, a single gas hob, and basic supplies including salt, pepper, oil, sugar, tea, and instant coffee. We also provide toilet paper, cleaning products, matches, firelighters, and wood for burning during your stay. ( we sell more at £4 a trug if you run out) Our eco-friendly compost sawdust toilet is fully insulated for comfort. A hot water shower unit is located near the courtyard, though please bring your own towels and toiletries. We provide a USB power bank for charging your phones, ensuring you can capture photos/experiences and stay connected to the outside world. (There is 1-2 bar of phone signal at the cabin) Outdoor Experience: Meadowsweet Hut is situated by a riverbank in a secluded clearing, offering opportunities to relax and explore nature. You can even enjoy a fish "pedicure" from the baby fish in the river! You’re welcome to do gold panning (we have pans for you to use) as there is gold in the river or your welcome cast a rod and fish for trout and salmon that run in the river. With multiple woods, fields, and the river to explore, you'll have ample space to reconnect with the outdoors. We're passionate about reducing our environmental impact and restoring the land and buildings of our former farm. Take a stroll through the forest to visit our majestic 300-year-old beech tree, providing a serene woodland experience. Local Amenities: The nearest food shops and supermarkets are a scenic 20-minute drive away in Lampeter, Llandovery, or Llandeilo. Alternatively, a petrol station just 10 minutes away offers basic essentials at Nisa Local.
