Llanwrda · 整套民居 · 4室5床3.0卫 · 可住8人 · Creatively converted barn in accessible rural spot
Tucked away in a woody hollow, recently converted Esgair Barn (dog friendly) is the perfect place for a refreshing break in unspoilt Carmarthenshire. Close to Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), there is plenty of space here for outdoor time and fresh air whether or not attractions are open. Whether you’re planning an energising itinerary of hiking or biking or just want to get away from it all you’ll be happy here. Fans of trees, hills, rivers, beaches, castles and wool won't be disappointed. You are welcomed into the barn through the large porch with plenty of space for wet coats and boots, and somewhere to sit while you prise them off. The living room The living room is a grand double-height room with sofas and a big table and banquette to seat you all in comfort. The windows look out over the fields and stream to one side, and a small gravelled private patio on the other. There’s a wood burning stove to keep you extra cosy, and some good old-fashioned board games and jigsaws in case it rains. We’ll be dividing up the games/ books/ extras we provide and swapping them between guests so you can still enjoy them. TV provided but you’ll be too busy watching the birds and squirrels. The kitchen Food can be a big feature of a holiday, so we’ve stuffed the kitchen with everything we could think of to help you whip up a feast (or heat up a pizza). You’ll find: •A range oven •A microwave •Plenty of pots, pans and utensils including baking equipment •Lots of crockery and serving dishes •A fridge freezer •A dishwasher •A washer/dryer and airer. There’s also a sofa and stools so you can keep the chef(s) company while they cook. Bedrooms Bedroom 1, downstairs, with a huge superking bed and easy access to wet room next door. Wardrobe and large chest of drawers for all your gubbins. This used to be where the donkey slept but is now ideal for grandparents. Can also be made up as twin beds on request. Bedroom 2, twin beds with skylight for watching the stars. Features desk from the now sadly closed village school. Can also be made up as superking on request. Bedroom 3, comfortable kingsize bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. Everything you need for a good night’s sleep. Challenge you to find something to hang on all the pegs! Bedroom 4, cast iron kingsize bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a woolly friend. En-suite shower room. Bathrooms There’s a large wet room on the ground floor with toilet, sink and walk-in shower with seat. It has underfloor heating and a heated towel rail. There’s a retro-style family bathroom upstairs with a bath, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. There’s an en-suite shower room off one of the upstairs bedrooms with toilet, sink, electric shower and heated towel rail. We’ve had fun decorating the barn with characterful furniture and décor, and been inspired by all the talented artists and crafts people living locally. We’ve included locally produced items where we can.
This has to be the best Airbnb we have stayed in yet, everything was immaculate beautifully decorated, fully equipped kitchen, super comfy beds, lovely touches, including chalk wall, Easter eggs, and a lovely Alpaca called Luca x everything was carefully thought through to the last detail,my family had an amazing Easter break we would definitely love to stay again thank you Andy x
An AMAZING place to stay warm, lush deco good size rooms all you needed was there, lush place to just chill and spend new year with friends we LOVED it Thank you x
Bigger than it looked in the photos and suitably remote. The rooms and decor are really nice and Andy was really helpful in organising and hosting. Had a wonderful trip despite the rain.
Wonderful base to host a surprise 60th birthday, facilities suited all ages, impeccably clean and well appointed. Fabulous location and very helpful hosts. Decor was inspiring. 7 very happy guests Thank you 😊
We stayed at Andy's place over the August bank holiday weekend for my sons wedding. We wanted flexible space so that everyone was not on top of each other. The accommodation is simply stunning, very spacious, spotlessly clean, high end appliances and finishes. The finishing touches are well above the norm, we loved the shades in the lounge, the light holders in the downstairs bedroom, a lot of thought has gone into creating this fabulous space. Some really nice attention to detail even down to plates and cutlery for the children. Location wise the children loved the Alpaca and one day we had two deer in the garden literally 10 feet away. All in all simply stunning...
Llansadwrn is a lovely village spread out over hills overlooking the western end of Bannau Brycheiniog (The Brecon Beacons). A walk (or jog!) around the village "circuit" gives amazing views of nearby Lynn y Fan Fach and the Black Mountain on the horizon, and pretty wooded hillsides and farmland in between.
The village pub is in walking distance and landlord Cliff is welcoming, but the pub doesn’t currently serve food. It's a very friendly community and you will be made to feel welcome while you're here.
There are village shops, post offices and butchers in nearby Llanwrda and Llangadog, and Co-ops and other shops in Llandeilo and Llandovery. Please support our local shops, but Tesco do deliver to the barn if you get stuck.
Depending on the season, we can arrange a veg box stuffed full of locally grown organic fruit and vegetables to be in the barn for your arrival, for a reasonable price. Please let us know on booking if you would like us to arrange this.
Esgair Barn is situated in a rural area so a car is pretty much essential. We have parking space for four cars. The barn is down a track which can be a bit bumpy. Please drive carefully in the village and on the track and respect our neighbours at the top of the track and halfway down.
Uber hasn't reached rural Carmarthenshire, but we can give you a taxi number if you need one!
