Ellen is marketing the Hotel on the beauty of the mansion's exterior. The house was open when we arrived. No one was inside. Found a number to call and finally reached Ellen. Due to the Cox email switch we did not receive her email with instructions. We were the only guests the first night. No help from Ellen with recommendations for restaurants, etc. The decor inside looks like thrift store, garage sale furniture except for the pool table. The beds and linens were superior but nothing else. One set of towels each for a 3-night stay. No housekeeping. Saw one employee our entire 3 day stay who was retrieving a painting. Had to run the hot water for 5 minutes to get hot. Shower was tepid, never got hot. Room was freezing until we found the thermostat on the 2nd day. When we b we were told the Blue room was the only room available. 3 other couples arrived during our stay. All had booked after we did. We would have like the first-floor room which was booked after us.

Wonderful stay at the Ell Hotel. It’s well appointed, with beautiful decor and finishings in a stately old home. I had a quiet, relaxing stay after a day of exploring the area.

This place was beautiful and as advertised. Ellen was amazing and always quick to respond to any question we had. We played pool downstairs, had hot coffee in the morning and our dog enjoyed the stay too! Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful house!! Loved the bathroom and linens were fabulous! The pool table was fun ! We felt like the house was all ours. Only saw one other couple all weekend. Great weekend getaway spot!
