This wonderfully positioned, converted former farm house, is perched on a slight hill at the head of Millin Bay. A serene and tranquil bay unspoilt by development situated just a short drive from the bustling village of Portaferry. This is the perfect get away from it all, where you can walk to the beach at Millin Bay in less than a minute or enjoy the expansive views from the house out to sea to the Ilse of Mann or to the Mourne Mountains behind. Recently renovated, this spacious house can sleep 8 comfortably with four bedrooms, two double and two twin, one ensuite, a family bathroom and a further shower room. There is plenty of reception space with a well-equipped kitchen and dining room, with enough seating for 8 guests, and a interconnecting reception room. Outside there is plenty of space for car parking and a shed for bikes and water sport equipment. The garden is enclosed and dogs are welcome to stay too.

We had a great time at Karen’s place. It is spacious, clean and has beautiful views to the beach and the cairn. The large, well catered kitchen with a large table was great to spend some family time and the enclosed garden brilliant for our dog. There are plenty of walks and day trips to do also. Would be very happy to come back!
It's a lovely remote place, and it's good to chill out. contact with the host was very prompt. Beach was just at the entrance to the house, and it was easy to walk the dog every day.

Our 2nd stay. Great big house and tranquil location. Not a complaint but if ever one of the double beds or mattresses needed replaced would be an idea to get a higher bed/deeper mattress as we had elderly family members who struggled with the very low beds. Look forward to returning.
Just spent a week at Karen's house - what a fantastic location with the beach at the end of the drive. The house is beautiful, very clean with everything you would want or need for your stay. The location in addition to the stunning views is very peaceful, shops in Portaferry are about 10 mins away and there is plenty of places to have a bite to eat. We got probably the best week of weather this year during our stay and I can't think of anywhere that would have been better. Can't recommend highly enough, will definitely be back.

Millin Bay is ideally located just a short drive from the village of Portaferry which is positioned at the top of the Ards peninsula, on the famous Strangford Loch. There are a number of excellent butchers, bakers and green grocers as well as fresh fish van on a Friday morning. There are also larger supermarkets for large shopping. You will be spoilt for choice for things to do, whether walking on the beach, or nearby National Trust shorelands at Kearny and Ballyquintin or take a drive and explore all that Strangford Loch and the Ards Peninsula has to offer. For those coming from outside Ireland the house is situated just under an hour from Belfast City Airport.
You will need a car for your stay and their is ample parking at the property.
