Shara is a wonderful host and made our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. She called ahead of time to check in about a few optional amenities. She was always quick to respond to any of my inquiries. And she clearly wanted us to feel at home. I haven't encountered such a kind host before! It made our stay even that more enjoyable!

Awesome mountain modern home! Wow! We absolutely loved staying at Shara’s home in Truckee. It was so much better than the photos. The home is clean, beautifully decorated, stocked with everything we needed, including boot/glove dryers! We loved cozying up to the fireplace after skiing. And the large hot tub under the stars was the best way to end the night. The master suite above the detached garage was a quiet space. You can tell a lot of love has been put into remodeling this house, with the nice touches of wallpaper, sturdy bunkbeds, new applicances, and beautiful tile work in the bathrooms. Our son loved playing outside in the snow, and we loved that the house is on a shared driveway away from the main road, so we didn’t have to worry about him being near cars. Shara was quick in responding to our questions. We will definitely be recommending this house to friends and will stay here on our next visit to the Tahoe/Truckee area! We will rent this home again!

Beautiful styled home with tasteful and hip wallpapers and furnishings. There are two bunk rooms, a very large queen bedroom with a large TV and a huge suite over the garage that provides a lot of privacy. This is not a good ski rental for those who want to stomp through the house covered in snow and fling their belongings everywhere. It’s amazing but true that the home belongs to a family with children. You would never know because it’s so tasteful and lovely. It is very thoughtfully appointed real home and does not feel like a half neglected rental property managed by an anonymous management company. Shara and Brian were warm, flexible and responsive when we had horrible weather and were essentially snowed in. Great kitchen for cooks! Hot tub was wonderful and my kids liked sledding in the back of the property.

Shara is a great host! She responds immediately and is very kind. All the windows had new blinds and we loved that some were the up-down blinds. There was not a tenant in the studio, we had use of both buildings. The house was super clean with new modern and very comfortable furniture. The house has a great layout. We had two families and one grandparent, 5 adults/3 kids and never felt like we needed more space. We loved having the piano and the hot tub right outside the door within view. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, including spices. The products in the showers were of great quality, I’ve never seen that before in a vacation rental. The office/loft space also make a great yoga space. We were enjoying our time so much that we added an extra day. We look forward to returning!

We had a very nice stay at Shara’s. Her house is wonderfully appointed, has all the kitchen supplies you’d need and ample sleeping room via high end bunk beds in the kids rooms. And of course the location. Some Airbnb homes are strictly for rental and outfitted throughout with inexpensive, low quality furnishing. Not the case for Shara’s home which is clearly somewhere she lives with her family. The appliances and furniture are top of the line, sturdy and comfortable. You can tell she put a lot of care into renovating and decorating the home. We did have a snafu with checkin (code didn’t work) but Shara was very quick to respond and we managed to get into the house without any problems with the lock thereafter. Shara also helped us to troubleshoot the internet when it went out for a period of time. Overall, positive experience being a guest at Shara’s.
