Campside Cottage--a vacation retreat located across from Camp Burson at the entrance of Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, Virginia. Relax around the campfire, hike or bike the many trails. Lounge on the beach with a good book, or cast your line to catch a big one! Enjoy the beautiful views of the Appalachian mountains while paddleboarding or kayaking Hungry Mother Lake. Don't forget to go shopping or sample the restaurants of America's Coolest Hometown! Enjoy your stay! Campside Cottage is a clean, newly- renovated modern farmhouse style retreat. It is an upstairs unit with a separate entrance (the downstairs is also a vacation rental with a separate entrance located at the opposite end of the house). There is a very large backyard (field) that kids can play in, and the driveway is perfect for bike riding. There is plenty of parking and you can enjoy the flicker of campfires from the campground across the road while having your own large, private area to yourself. There is a fire pit and outdoor seating area, plus a grill (both gas and charcoal provided) for outdoor cooking. The Campside Cottage is perfect for the couple looking to get away for a few days, or for the young family with small children.
