Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Open floor plan newly built 1-bedroom apartment, abutting the Sawmill River and Montague conservation land. Apartment is short walking distance to the Montague Book Mill, the award-winning Alvah Stone restaurant, and the Lady Killigrew Cafe. Access to private swimming hole, trout-filled creek, and miles of hiking trails. Twenty minute drive to Amherst or Northampton. This is an open floor plan apartment on the ground floor of a three unit house. There is a fully appointed kitchen, living room area, and a bedroom separated from the kitchen/living area by a half-wall. Please note that while the apartment is private and the neighbors are quiet, there are two apartments above this unit. You will hear various apartment noises from time to time - water in the pipes, muffled voices or footsteps from upstairs, etc.

This is a cute space & convenient location — right near the book mill and shops! We’d stay here again!
I loved my stay at Andrew and Kathie's apartment. It is in a small lovely village, just across the street from "The Book Mill", a charming used book store and "Lady Pettigrew" a sweet cafe. The apartment was beautifully furnished, and the kitchen was well-stocked with great cooking pots and pans. It was everything I needed for a quiet retreat.

Quiet, historic town in western Massachusetts. Across the street from the Montague Bookmill, the award winning Alvah Stone restaurant, the lady Killigrew Cafe, and several small shops. Access to hiking trails and scenic creek from the property. Short drive to Amherst, Northampton, and Greenfield.
The AirBnb is the bottom floor of a three-family house with a private entrance and access to a shared laundry room. The other tenants are generally quiet but note that there is the usual upstairs neighbors noise - you can hear people walking, occasionally dropping things, some muffled noise from the dishwasher, maybe some murmuring from the radio or tv. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am.
There’s space for up to two vehicles. The area is great for walks and biking. There’s a small general store within walking distance, a cafe, upscale restaurant, bookstore, and a few niche shops at the Book Mill directly across the street. We’re a short drive from Amherst, Greenfield, and North Hampton. Be aware that public transportation and cab/ride services are very limited.
