Just finished staying a week at Sara’s “Luna Del Mar” and it was truly one of those vacations that you didn’t want to leave and go back home because everything was so perfect. We followed many of Sarah’s recommendations in the guest book that she provides and were not disappointed by any of her suggestions. Our favorite restaurant in Zancudo was Sol y Mar - go on a Friday night for their expanded menu! We did a fishing charter with Nelson and caught enough Yellowfin Tuna to eat for the entire week. We also took our two daughters on a horseback ride with Raul where we went through a jungle and saw a lot of wildlife and then rode down to the beach. The house is well-equipped, comfortable and clean. Our family enjoyed going between the beach and the pool and we had several occasions where a family of monkeys played in the trees above our heads. We spoke very little Spanish going into this trip, but felt very welcomed by the people of Zancudo from the moment we arrived. Dan S - USA

Sarah's place is absolutely phenomenal. Right on a gorgeous (almost private) beach, amazing backyard with plenty of stunning wildlife, the house is beautiful and comfortable with a pool we enjoyed a LOT. The surroundings are also wonderful , very authentic. The people in the little village were so kind as well. We left yesterday but miss it already... Hoping to come back some time..

Sarah’s place is amazing, it is even better than the pictures. Our own private pool was so nice to have. It was very hot, so we were in the ocean and pool a lot. The AC in the bedrooms were really nice to have as well. We saw monkeys and lots of different birds on the property. Sarah was a great Airbnb host, giving lots of suggestions and checking in. All of the walking distance restaurants we went to were very good, our favorite was El Coquito. It is very far to get to the house, but totally worth it. We are already making plans to come back.

What can I say…This trip was way beyond expectations. Truly gorgeous surroundings everywhere you look! Beautiful home with a pool within a hundred yards of a stunning beach in secluded location. Absolute heaven on earth. So peaceful. At first I was a bit disappointed in the lack of wildlife that I had seen so much of in other parts of Costa Rica but the very next day we had a troop of white faced capuchins come through right along the house for an up close and personal viewing and it was amazing! We located 2 different sloths close by and I was satisfied with the wildlife experience . My adult son and his friend made fast friends with all the locals which made it feel like home, knowing everyone’s names. We spent many nights at all of the awesome restaurants close by. If you get a chance, hire Captain Nelson for fishing or Raul for horseback riding . We will be back very soon! Finally, Sarah was a wonderful host and was super helpful. 10/10! Highly recommend this place☺️

where to start.... Sarah's place is absolutely beautiful!! The location is exactly what we were looking for: remote, gorgeous surroundings, peaceful... The house is beautiful! The wood it's built from is incredible. The wrap around porch is perfect for those early morning cups of coffee; relaxing in the hammocks listening to the birds, monkeys & waves. Each evening we would walk to one of the local restaurants for dinner & each place we visited was delicious & everyone was so kind. The foliage in the yard is so incredibly beautiful!! Everything was so peaceful & perfect! The beach is unbelievable! Basically a private beach. It's rare to see more than a handful of people on the beach. We can't wait to come back to Zancudo and Sarah's house, exceeded our expectations! Sarah is the most gracious host I've ever dealt with in Air B&B. She answered all my numerous questions & offered recommendations. Sarah is the best!
