Great place to stay while visiting Kettle Moraine area. The place is clean and updated yet has a unique personality and charm. I like that it doesn’t look/feel like a typical generic Airbnb. The deck, fire pit, kayaks, and bar area are an added bonus and can make for fun festivities. I also found his place to be a good value compared to the other properties in the area. I am looking forward to returning to this area and will likely stay at Jim’s place again when I do!

We had a great visit. We were hiking the ice age trail and this was an ideal location for the Parnell, Greenbush and Milwaukee segments. Ice age visitor center also close! We were too tired from our hikes to take advantage of the kayaks, maybe next time! Campers were cute and beds were comfortable! Had everything we needed and was clean as a whistle.

We were a group of 3 women in our late fifties getting together, 2 from out of state who had never been to Wisconsin. Our goal was to hike by day, cook dinner, sit around the campfire, and relax with some beverages. Reading some previous reviews provided a great tip - bring some camping chairs. It's a great fire ring, and there is a slight slope on one side, if you're on a backless bench and have that extra beverage, one might tip over. Those of us in a camping chair did not have any issues. The outdoor deck stairs to the cabin's back door had a motion sensor light which was fantastic for any middle-of-the-night trips into the cabin. There was a yellow jacket nest outside the kitchen window, which didn't really impact us much, but I'm confident Jim will address it as he was very responsive. We were a little unsure of our arrival time because we weren't sure of our collective hiking speed and Jim had a great solution for us that was flexible.

Our family loved staying at Jim's place. It is super clean and Jim lives across the street and handles communication with excellence. Always available and respects your privacy. My adult children especially liked that they each had their own private trailer but still felt part of the family since they were mere steps away. This is a unique place and had everything we needed. The bed linens were high quality and the lake across the street added another layer of beauty and peace. Thanks, Jim!
