The house was clean and very convenient to Schweitzer as well as all of the amenities of downtown Sandpoint. All expected kitchen and bath basics were readily available. We enjoyed seeing turkeys and deer in the yard. Melanie was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond to questions. We had nice warm weather while we were in town, but unfortunately no patio furniture was available for us to sit outside and enjoy it. The downside for us was that the location is pretty noisy and not great for light sleepers— the house is on a street that all of the mountain traffic uses and it’s in close proximity to a train that blares its whistle multiple times a night.

I booked a long weekend stay at Melanie’s chalet to celebrate my and my boyfriend’s anniversary. The chalet is conveniently located and with just the right amount of privacy. It truly is just as pictured and described, beautifully decorated, and so very quaint and cozy, and the hot tub was absolutely divine this time of year at the end of a busy day of exploring. Melanie was extremely responsive and kind, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 10/10 would recommend Melanie’s chalet for your next visit to Schweitzer Mountain and/or Sandpoint!

Melanie's chalet was very cute and perfect for us to come ski the weekend at Schweitzer. It's so close to the mountain, but only a few minutes in to Sandpoint. A few things we loved - the hot tub is perfect, on a nice deck, has hooks for towels, and is only steps from the back door. The fireplace was very cozy, and their Roku TV is already logged in to some of our favorite apps. We also appreciated how well stocked the kitchen is. The pans and cooking utensils were in good shape and of good quality. One suggestion I have for fellow pet owners - bring a lead if you want to let your dog roam the yard a bit. It's not a huge yard, but there's a little space to explore. It's not fully fenced and next to a road that's busy on ski weekends, so probably you won't want to let your dog off leash. Speaking of that busy road - we were shocked that you can't hear any of the traffic from inside the house. It's so quiet!

Great place to stay. The location is great as it’s right between the ski resort and the town of Sandpoint. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub which was drained and cleaned before our arrival. This was an excellent off resort option.

Highly recommend staying at Melanie’s chalet! The chalet was very clean and comfortable place to relax after going up to the mountain. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinners and we appreciated the quality of the well appointed kitchen. We loved the close proximity to the ski shuttle and enjoyed not having to deal with parking or driving conditions. And of course, we took full advantage of the hot tub! We had a very relaxing stay and were not ready for it to end!
