If you are looking for a place that feels off the beaten path but still not far from restaurants and things to do then this is the place. Sitting on the porch at night is really peaceful. Eric and his family take very well care of the place and his instructions on how to get to it were easy to follow. Already looking forward to going back someday.
My family and I had a great time at Eric’s place. The beds were comfortable, instructions were clear, and the scenery was breathtaking. My husband and daughter were able to catch trout and flounder off the dock with mud minnows.
What a gem! The house was clean, comfortable, and just as described. Eric is a great host, I would recommend his place to anyone.
Eric is very responsive. Any questions I had were answered promptly. What a beautiful home and property. Very private and a wonderful view from the dock. I would love to stay there again for my next fishing trip!
Peaceful, Quiet getaway from the bustling cities of America. The property was identical to the listing as well as detailed concise intstructions for check-in, check-out and anything else needed from the property owner.

We have called Charleston, SC home for about 15 years now and love it. Originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, my wife Stacy is a Yoga teacher working with diverse groups including children in low income schools, physically challenged individuals, public classes and private lessons to name a few. I was born and bred in Canada 30 miles west of Toronto. After finishing university I did my Masters in Australia before travelling and working abroad and in North America. I settled in Charleston where I work as a Realtor, investor, renovator, and manage my long term and vacation rentals. We're a family of 4 with our young daughter Satya and pup George. We love to come visit the Lodge ourselves whenever we can along. We've also got two mountain properties near Asheville that we get to as often as possible. The Lodge is a beautiful, calming spot and we're happy to share it with you. My dad owned and lived in this property for 22 years. I've been visiting it and Beaufort for over 30 years when my dad first moved there and owned the Bay Street Inn downtown. In all those visits to Beaufort I found Charleston where I ended up settling down for the last 15 years or so. This spot my dad found all those years ago is simply amazing. When he decided to downsize and move into town I had to figure out a way to buy it. I love to sit on the porch any time of day listening to the various critters, watching sunrises and sunsets and just enjoying the calm.
