The Slipway is a real gem of a property. Located in the heart of Fowey overlooking the harbour it couldn't have better views. The house is 3 storeys with plenty of space for the four of us. The views from the bedrooms and living room were amazing. We saw the local ferry in action plus many other vessels using the harbour. The facilities are brilliant and we had all the comforts of home. The rear patio/garden is unbelievable with even more stunning views, this time from above the house roof. Everything in the house was spotlessly clean and the decor was very stylish and modern. It immediately felt like a home as soon as we came through the front door. Fowey is a beautiful little town with loads of places to eat and shops to explore. We visited the Eden Project which is about a 20 minute drive away - an essential day out! Neil is a very attentive host and we had loads of information and tips about what to do and see locally. Fully recommended.
Great house and host. The house was clean, tidy and comfortable. Everything was smooth; Neil did a great job of providing very clear written information and local recommendations. Fowey is a beautiful place and was very peaceful in May when I stayed. Sitting in the garden in the evening with views across the estuary and with just the sound of birdsong was lovely.
Perfect location, perfect property & Neil went above and beyond to assist. Just wonderful.
My family & I had a wonderful stay at the Slipway. It was well located in Fowey, and close to the main car parks. The house was very clean and presented, as described and matched the photons. What really stood out, was how helpful the hosts were, with recommendations of places to visit, eat and drink. They were always on hand and quick to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend the Slipway, and hope to visit again soon!!
The location is perfect and the space was really nice. As Americans, it is a bit of a trick driving through the small town to get there, but definitely worth it. Would advise putting the car park that Neil recommends into your map to avoid the tiniest town streets! Views were great, beds comfy, and walkable to lots of sights, restaurants and shops.
