Beautiful home with lots of little touches that made it feel really special like robes, slippers, blankets, welcome hamper etc. The whole place is tastefully decorated and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and had most things you would need. The hot tub was a nice addition although smelt a bit funny by the last day which I imagine was when it would be cleaned if we were staying longer. The location is ideal for hikes in the countryside and round Dovestone Reservoir and an easy walk along the canal to Uppermill. Check-in was flexible and easy once I got the instructions - they were experiencing issues with their booking system which meant everything was sent a little last minute and I had to chase up but it was all rectified in the end! Would recommend x

We had a wonderful stay at Deborah's place. The property was exceptionally clean, well-kept, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The amenities provided, including the hot tub, added an extra layer of relaxation to our trip. Location is good too, near the Peak District and about 40 minute drive from Manchester. One minor inconvenience was the absence of a dropped kerb for parking. We had to park at an angle, which wasn't ideal but manageable. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Deborah’s place and would gladly recommend it to others. Thank you for hosting us!

The most amazing place to stay! Local to walk into Uppermill for food and drinks. Amazing design features, delicious hamper of goodies, pillows which were the best we have ever slept on! We hope to be back next year! A great place to spend with friends and family.

What’s magical place my secret house is!! We arrived for our 10 day stay after a long travel day to a beautiful welcome basket filled with local produce, wine and everything we needed to settle in. The house is absolutely spectacular and it was decorated inside and outside with beautiful Christmas decorations. The design is first class, every single corner of the house is beautifully thought out. The monogrammed bath robes, towels and sheets made our stay feel like a 5 star hotel. No detail has been missed, this house just kept on surprising us with all the thoughtful details. The location is perfect, close to great walks, restaurants, coffee shops and pubs. The Wellington pub was my favorite for friendly locals and great food. Communication was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. A midweek refresh clean was a nice touch, truly a luxurious rental experience. Highly recommend my secret house, we made the most special family memories and will definitely be back.
