Great cabin in peaceful woods.

We needed some peace and quiet after three months in Miami, and this place was just perfect. The cabin is a well-built, nicely appointed one-bedroom with a futon for extra guests. It's right near the border of Franklin and Floyd counties — one of the prettiest parts of the state. The cabin sits within view of the Blue Ridge Parkway though the sound of cars didn't reach us. There's a firepit facing the sunset for evenings outdoors, so you can really enjoy the peace. But Floyd is really just 20 minutes away, so if you're tired of cooking and/or want to hear some live music, you can do that, too. I think this place is a little gem.

we loved the peacefulness, proximity to hiking trails at Smartview and the serenity of the cabin and property. Occasional traffic on Parkway was not loud. loved sitting on the porches surrounded by quiet and birdsong. we had everything we needed to cook great meals and relax when we weren't in town dancing at the Floyd Country Store!

Finn’s Folly was very peaceful and in a great location right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Very comfortable and tastefully decorated with everything you’d need in the kitchen including even fresh eggs in the fridge straight from their farm. Hosts were very communicative and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (so did our pups!) and would not hesitate to return.

I have stayed at many airBNBs and this is the only time where I remember thinking, "I have to stay here again." We just left and I have already started looking at potential dates to stay in the future. This cabin feels like home. We came with the idea that we would explore nearby Floyd and drive up and down the Blue Ridge Parkway. However, we ended up staying at the cabin, relaxing with our dogs, and cooking in their perfectly outfitted kitchen. We also made a fire and cooked camp-style a few nights while we were here. This place is an outdoorsy person's paradise. The birds singing in the morning, the sunsets by the fire, the hundreds of stars visible each night. It was magical. Also, there are NPS trails within walking distance of the cabin. You can tell this cabin is loved by its owners and all the special touches provided made us feel at home. PS: the bed is divine-- like sleeping on a cloud. This is truly a special place. Can't wait to go back. ❤️
