Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Your comfortably furnished bell tent with 4 raised single beds awaits you atop Wayfaring Down. Tucked away in an unspoilt, well maintained natural setting in the South Downs National Park, you will ascend to your bell tent from the car park, and enjoy beautiful views towards Hastings and the hills. Your own camp toilet is near to your tent, and you will have use of a gazebo where there is a camping stove and other kitchen amenities. Campion is comfortably furnished with rugs, and 4 raised single beds, soft battery powered lighting and storage boxes. Outside there is a table and chairs and a fire bowl with grill so you can enjoy locally sourced food cooked outside. The gazebo, located near to your bell tent has a table and chairs, your kitchen basics including a camp stove and kitchen equipment, and is a comfortable venue for indoor dining. Basic washing up facilities are provided in the gazebo, or you can wash up dishes at the sink located next to the gazebo.

A lovey peaceful location with stunning views from the top of the hill towards the sea. The tent comfortably slept two adults and two six year olds in decent beds. Furthermore, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need and the fire pit and bbq by your tent meant cooking outside was easy and fun. The layout has been well thought out to provide uninterrupted views and some privacy between the two bell tents. We had a lovely stay and found that the hosts were really friendly and responsive to any questions.
Beautiful setting for a fun family adventure. Elizabeth has created a magical retreat and we had a wonderful stay. The site has everything you could possibly need, Elizabeth is a fabulous host who has thought about every little detail making this a relaxing stay.
a magic part of the world. campsite was excellent. the hosts left us to feel like who had the place to ourselves and we saw them to change bits like the compost toilet( totally fine) and the freezer bags. just a magic spot with great views. the tent and facilities were excellent and cosy/comfortable and the bedsing was great. a family of four could easily fit and have a great holiday.
We thoroughly enjoyed our night away, beautiful surroundings, everything we needed on site. Comfortable accommodation, exceeded our expectations, would definitely return.
Wow, what a special place - we had such a lovely, relaxing stay. The views in all directions are amazing and the countryside setting is so beautiful and peaceful. The bell tent is perfect, with comfy beds and fairy lights, and the kitchen has everything you could need. Elizabeth was so friendly and helpful and the resident sheep are adorable! We would love to come back and would definitely recommend to others.

Filching is a small hamlet near Polegate. It is accessible by foot, car or bicycle. There are 3 footpaths in Filching that are good to take for local walks, including access to the South Downs Way, a national walking trail.
