Traveler’s Rest was a highlight of our trip to Pittsburgh. A beautiful space where all of our needs were anticipated and provided for. Paul and Mary Beth were charming hosts who provided us with some of the local history and valuable tips about what to see and do. The place was very clean and well supplied. The common room was incredible! I can’t stress enough how awesome this place is. Super highly rated

Great place to stay that’s close to downtown. Had a few bars in walking distance. Short walk to Gabriella’s for the complementary breakfast sandwich. We ate there every morning, the owner was great. The host provided bagels and cream cheese when Gabriella’s was closed. Fresh coffee every morning. This place was perfect for what we were looking for. I will look for them again when I go back to Pittsburgh.

I was desperate for a place to stay on a football weekend, and I was grateful this was available. It was very clean and felt safe. "Hostel" would definitely be the best word to describe the place, but I thought it was very nice as hostels go. I did not receive the needed check-in information but the host was responsive. The main downside was that the other guest were extremely loud in the night (and, as a result, violently ill in the morning). I certainly don't hold that against the host, but it made for a rough night.

Traveler's Rest is a unique, eclectic and fun stay. There's a cool old walk-in safe on the first floor that adds to the charm of the space. There's plenty of parking and plenty to do and eat a quick walk down Carson Street, including a complimentary breakfast for guests at Gabriella's. The subway tiled bathrooms are fresh and gleaming white. The room was super quiet and comfortable. Black pipe accents throughout the rooms contrast nicely and give off a subtle industrial vibe. Paul was a very accommodating host. If I ever make it back to Pittsburgh I'd stay again.
