Awful experience from start to finish. The place has a strange smell, rotten food left in freezer (which doesn't work), WiFi not working, front door doesn't lock, washing machine filled with stagnant water as it doesn't drain, stains on bedding, general maintenance lacking, broken furniture and rubbish littering the hallways... I really am struggling to find a positive for this property. For the price I would save your money and go elsewhere. Sunderland has so many great properties available for a similar price. Shazad was a responsive host and the location was very convenient at least. Unfortunately I only stayed for a one night out of six as the property felt unsafe and unclean so am unable to provide further comments. A colleague of mine stayed in apartment 3 and had a very similar experience - this is not a one off occurrence.

The property we were supposed to move into was not what was listed. It was dirty, the washing machine and a lot of the amenities in the kitchen (microwave, toaster, kettle) were not working. The floorboards were coming apart and there were holes in the wall. The hot water ran out after one shower. I received a call from the property manager after lodging a complaint that the flat we booked was not available to move into yet hence the replacement attic space but this was not communicated to us prior to checking in.
