Shane’s muckishhideaway is unique and wow, what a view! (When the weather permits!) Although it states 4 max capacity, my advice would be to keep your numbers to 2. Dogs are welcome, and it’s a v compact space so if you have small dogs like me, it’s no problem. We stayed over New Year and were aware of the remote location, so brought food to ‘cook-in’ for our NYE celebrations. The kitchen facilities were very good and it was well equipped with gas hob, microwave, kettle, fridge with icebox and ample utensils. Kids plastic plates and cutlery also well accommodated for. It was warm and cosy and lots of spare towels and bedding if needed. As it’s so compact, be aware that it’s a double bed rather than a king, although regardless it’s very comfortable and the linen is of great quality. No drawer or cupboard space in the bedroom though - just a hanging rail. This suited us as we were only staying 2 nights but more guests with more luggage may struggle. All in all a lovely stay!

The view from this property is the most beautiful scenery. Many people like all the tourist spots. This is real Ireland & Donegal is a beautiful county, close to the sea and in the middle of the mountains. Stunning views

Great wee place to get away from it all for a weekend. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains/ landscape. Fantastic stay, and Shane was a very accommodating host, as I didn’t realise pets were allowed until after I’d booked, but it was no issue bringing the dog along. Highly recommend!
