House was nice and quiet. Walking trails through woods close by. Place was clean and nicely decorated. Had all the kitchen equiopment we needed to cook. Dog friendly. Host was very helpful in helping us find a place to watch the solar eclipse. We ended up in a lovely neighborhood park nearby.

We are a family of five and a dog and this house is plenty big. My kids are older and the two nice bathrooms really helped. But I noticed it is also well setup for younger children with gates around stairs, a nice enclosed deck as well as an enclosed patio off the en-suite . The en-suite is in the basement which I am usually not a fan of but this bedroom was dry, warm and odorless-it had a large bathroom, laundry, desk area, and a lounge area. The bedroom on the second floor is open to first floor- my kids thought that was great but a very private couple might want to choose one of the (many) other bedrooms. It was very clean and without clutter which I appreciated. A beautiful private lot- you can see houses through trees in winter but we saw no people-a wonderful vacation.

The place was perfect for our ski weekend with great proximity to Whiteface and not too far from Lake Placid. The house was clean and cozy. Overall a great stay.
