We (a family of 4) stayed in Ffion bell tent in August 2021. We came back refreshed and relaxed! Anglesey is a fantastic place to visit if you like the countryside and a beautiful coastline! A few more details on the host and place now. Location: A quiet field with a great view when the weather is dry. The only sounds you can hear are birds, sheep and cows from the nearby fields (and the rain on the tent of course)! If you don't like these, then better reconsider if you really want to go camping! Facilities: 4 bell tents in total when we visited, all of them in a distance long enough to allow for some privacy but also short enough not to feel lonely. The caravan, which serves as the communal area, is a bit further and has a nice view from the windows in the sitting room. Very useful on rainy days! The kitchen windows allow direct visualization of the tent area, quite important for keeping an eye on your children when they are running around on the field whilst you are trying to prepare their meals. The toilet is behind the caravan and not visible from the tents (smart spot for it to be placed). The description of what is provided is 100% accurate and the only thing we had to bring with us were towels plus extra camping chairs for the kids. Everything else like utensils, bedsheets, extra-mattresses, charging station for the mobile phones (ports and power were enough for all the phones), etc. is offered by the host. Tents: Good quality fabric, no issues with the heavy rain or the wind! Clean and tidy on arrival! Spacious for a family with a 9 and a 6-year old. Comfortable mat and good duvets and pillows! Check-in, check-out and overall interaction with the host: The email communication was prompt (all queries answered within 60min), effective, friendly and polite. Unfortunately, Bethan and her husband were away when we checked in. James that was covering in their absence and Bethan's in-laws stood up to the standards that Bethan set in her communication! The whole friendly approach helped us really relax during our stay! Cleanliness: James and Bethan's in-laws visited the field every day ensuring that the communal areas were cleaned and that there was enough supply of consumables like toilet paper, a fully charged charging station, waste disposal bags etc. They were friendly and polite and keen to advise on places to visit or activities to take part! Troubleshooting: Day 4 we run out of gas i.e. no hot water and the oven and hob not working. I texted James to inform him. As an immediate solution for cooking, he directed me to the storage place of a spare smaller hob with a small gas cylinder (that was great because it was breakfast time...)! Within roughly an hour he had the main gas cylinder refilled too so we were back in full function! The overall response is much appreciated! We would happily visit again!
