We had a wonderful time on our winter getaway. Mark was an extremely thoughtful host and made us feel personally welcomed. The house and surroundings were exactly as described. We particularly enjoyed the two working fireplaces in the house. Ample firewood was supplied for us to have a morning fire in the parlor as well as to end our day with a cozy fire in the living room. There are not many restaurants open in that area during the winter, but we had everything we needed to prepare meals in the kitchen. Our dog also enjoyed the yard and house, including the dog treats available in the entryway. The physical beauty of Downeast Maine cannot be topped. We had visited the area in the summer, but never in the winter. We went on quiet hikes on the Schoodic Peninsula as well as the nearby National Wildlife Preserve. We also walked to the beach from the house, which was an easy 15 minute walk down the local road. One day, we made the drive to Mt Desert Island to explore Acadia NP.

I was looking for a break from the big city and stumbled upon Mark's charming farmhouse. I'm happy to say that I ended up having the perfect Maine experience! Mark is a very good, thoughtful host who anticipates the needs of his guests. Communicating with him was very fluid and easy. His directions were clear and his recommendations of things to do really enhanced my visit. The interiors of The Farmhouse are also quite special -- they're well thought out, classic, and provide its inhabitants a warm and memorable experience. Each room is beautifully decorated and welcomes you with natural materials & textures. The natural light that spills into the house creates lovely moments throughout the house. The modern conveniences of the house also blend very well with the house. I was really impressed by how fast the internet speed was. I highly recommend spending time here -- The Farmhouse was the perfect Fall getaway I was looking for and I look forward to my visit back.

Mark was a terrific host. We were able to meet him in person, which added a nice touch to our trip. We prefer an Airbnb with a single owner, so this was a perfect match. The home is so peaceful that we would love to go back just to sit in the space and take in the warmth of the home. We highly recommend Mark and the property. It’s a treasure.

Mark is a fantastic host committed to maintaining the true Airbnb experience. He was extremely proactive and communicative before and during our entire stay. Mark was wonderful in offering local recommendations & providing additional help whenever needed. The property itself is fantastic, the pictures do not do it justice; the house is beautiful and tastefully done. Surrounded by a huge yard, outdoor patio, and fire pit, and extremely close to the water; the property is an entire experience in itself. Proximity to Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park is extremely easy and Mark is extremely knowledgeable and happy to help plan trips. Will definitely visit again!
