Mel & Jon took the time to message clear directions b4 we set off, we were welcomed on arrival & the location is superb. So quiet and relaxing. The property had everything you could wish for including lots of things for our dog and a personalised bowl. A great touch. There was so many extras, including eggs, milk, tea bags, coffee, toiletries, and a few little treats. You had your own parking and entrance and the fully fenced, dog proof garden was vast. We sat and watched loads of different birds come down and eat at the feeders. Perfectly located for Lewes, Brighton & other coastal areas. Highly recommend Mel & Jon as hosts and their beautiful cottage as a great place to stay.

We had a lovely short break - I’m not sure who enjoyed it the most, us or the dogs! The garden is a wonderful space. The property was super clean/tidy and very comfortable. Mel and Jon have thought of everything- even some lovely welcome treats. Their communication, from booking to farewells, was friendly and informative. The location is perfect, with so many places to visit and many beautiful walks. We didn’t have enough time to explore, so will certainly be returning very soon.

Perfect spot for a holiday with your dogs! One of ours is an escape artist but the garden is really secure with loads of space! The photos don’t do the place justice, it’s really lovely, clean and so well equipped for humans and dogs! Thanks for having us. We hope to be back in the summer

We had a wonderful (albeit it a little wet) weekend at Mel’s place. From booking to departure, everything was just perfect! The property is even better than the photos - everything was spotless! Our two hounds had the best time running around the completely enclosed garden/field. The goodie basket was such a lovely touch too for us and the dogs :) We didn’t eat out anywhere, but cooked indoors (we popped into Holmansbridge farm shop), and the kitchen was well stocked for simple meals. A fantastic stay and we’d love to return in the summer!

Home from home - Everything you & your 4 legged friends need. Welcome goodies a lovely touch - dog friendly garden a godsend. Great location to explore Lewes, Brighton and the Downs. Would highly recommend.
