Our group of 11 had a great time here. The beach was beautiful and luckily the water was receded enough for us to spend the day on it. The living area and rooms had lots of natural light, although the upstairs of the house did get quite hot with the weather being over 25°C all weekend. Shauna and Michael were super responsive hosts, gave clear instructions for check in and finding the place.

Very spacious cottage, lots of space for our family gathering, quiet environment, comfortable beds. Great view on the river, with splendid sunset. Must be beautiful in the summer. Communication with hosts was easy, with prompt replies to all our questions. The ad did mention a small hill from parking lot to the house, but be aware that this can be treacherous and inconvenient when you have to take down all your luggage, food, etc., especially in the winter. Rental fees do include cleaning fees; however we were disappointed about the condition and cleanliness of the house when we got there (i.e. lots of dead bugs in some bedrooms, very dirty burner liners on the electric cooktop, dusty ceiling fans and tables in rooms, missing lightbulbs in several ceiling lamps). Also, there was no body soap or shampoo in the bathrooms. Despite all of this, we enjoyed our family get-together.

Shauna and Mike were fantastic from start to finish, from my queries regarding dates, to making sure we had settled in well and that everything was good. It's a beautiful house in a quiet setting, lots of room for everyone to have their quiet time, but also very functional for family gatherings. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and anything you can think off, the living areas are very comfortable, as were the bedrooms and beds. The view and peace of the surrounding area was just amazing and perfect for our Canadian winter getaway. Shauna responded to my every query promptly and went above and beyond what was expected of a host. We spent Christmas and New Years there, and Shauna even put up a real tree for us. Just magical. Thanks for everything Shauna and Mike!

We rented the cottage in December, beautiful place and location. Shauna responded immediately to our questions and helped resolve our concern. We had a great time and hoping to come back next year in fall.

Beautiful house in a great location! Very comfortable and was a great place for a family get-together. Great hosts. Highly recommend!
