Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft in der Nähe des Strandes Coco Beach. Das Roundhouse hat man ganz für sich. Die Ausstattung ist recht einfach, aber in Afrika ist das nun mal so. Das Bett liegt im mittleren Stockwerk und dort gibt es Klimaanlage. Die Dachterrasse ist einmalig. Leider gibt es dort nur einen Stuhl. Hier könnte man eigentlich mehr daraus machen, denn der Blick über die Häuser zum Strand ist toll.

I stayed for three months. An inviting small, garden with fruit trees and flowers. In the garden, an unfinished house, partly filled with rubbish, was less decorative. I paid the janitor, Daniel, to clear it, which he more or less did. There was some rubbish around the garden too, which I likewise paid to remove. The owner designed the unorthodox "lighthouse" herself. There are two small, circular rooms - a living room on the ground floor and the bedroom on the first floor. A similarily sized terrace on the second floor has a fabolous beach- and ocean view. It's professionally and solidly built. I was there i the rainy season, and there were no leaks. The plot was well drained too, and all water disappeared quickly after rain. All window grilles are permanently stuck, some very rusty. Kitchen utensils are very sparse. The neigbourhood is diverse, with wery poor families mixed with local elite. Neighbours warned me of crime, but I never experienced anything threathening.

We enjoyed the nice breeze on the upper level and on the lower patio and being able to walk to the beach whenever we wanted. The locals were nice to us and it was good to be able to cook our own food.

This is a Vintage house in it's own compound with old world charm with a beautiful 300 degree view of the sea and neighborhood from the top level porch. Private, safe and peaceful here. There are street lights on the streets and a light right outside the gate. I enjoyed the neighborhood and felt welcomed by the locals. They are friendly and have joined together with a Facebook group. Need anything just ask Daniel. He helped me with an adapter I needed and had it for me in 15 minutes. He saved me hours of trying to find and go purchase it myself. Good service. Transportation by Uber, Bolt and food delivery from Glovo we used from time to time throughout our two week stay. I am experienced traveler so I inquired around and found a personal driver named Joe who I trust and hire when needed for hourly or half day. This way when I went shopping or sight seeing there was flexibility and ease. Lastly, my mobile phone worked great here, Samsung A32, with TMobile service, free unlimited data on their max plan. That is awesome in Ghana for any American considering travel here.
