The apartment is a nice one bedroom above the garage. It's got plenty of space, a full kitchen, and the constant background of grazing horses when you look out the window. It's great for driving in and out of Acadia. Takes between 20 and 40 minutes depending on what part of the island you're going to and it's really nice to stay off the island so you don't have to deal with constant hodge-podge going on there all the time.

I could not have asked for a more attentive host. I made an embarrassing amount of special requests, and she cheerfully provided for each one!!! She gave me great recommendations for all kinds of restaurants, trails, maybe the best ice cream I've ever had, did extra legwork to help me find a Covid test, was a TROOPER helping me to figure out how to work the TV, even invited me to a live music thing. She answered texts while out on a date and had her kids check for mail for me. She was a DREAM! Never interrupted me, but was always available when I needed her. In addition, her one bedroom place over the garage was PERFECT for me! Air conditioning, cozy but plenty of space, plenty of light, quiet, super comfy armchair, enough space to stretch on the super soft carpet, super nice new bathroom... it became my cocoon and I emerged completely rejuvenated and inspired. I'm very grateful, Susan. Thank you! (Hopefully other guests will ask for *slightly* fewer things than I did!!)

This property comes highly recommended. The location is great - close to shops and restaurants in Ellsworth and less than 30 minutes to Acadia. The unit is quiet as well as super clean and well fitted out with all the necessities. The host Sue was very responsive and went out of her way to give us information about the area and make our stay pleasant. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
