This was our second time staying at this Airbnb with Dwayne as our host and we were happy to be back. It is in a nice private and quiet location, lots of space, the kitchen is great, the beds and couch are very comfortable and they even have a game room downstairs. It's a quick 30 minutes to Acadia and Ellsworth has lots of good options for food, a gas station and grocery store less than 2 minutes away and some of the best fish tacos we've ever had at Margaritas Mexican restaraunt. We greatly enjoyed both our stays there and would love to stay with Dwayne and Sharnakay when we return.

A few things. The house is good, but probably better later in the summer (we rented in early spring). My biggest reason why 2 stars: the smoke detector had NO BATTERIES. The alarm was not working, and the host only had 1 extra battery. The kitchen had ants in it, a lot of them. Since we were most likely the first people to use this house after winter, natural gas built up in the pipes and the water smelled like eggs. We had to run it for 40 minutes to fix it, and thankfully it did fix. Also, the basement is semi unfinished, with drywall and insulation sticking out. There is only one bathroom, which is said in the description. Overall it was an ok stay, but the lack of smoke detectors was VERY concerning. Also the ants. It is a good location, with a very nice shops nearby. I would recommend coming here in the summer season if you do, and be sure to check the batteries. The host was very quick to respond though. I respect them for that, but please fix your safety precautions. Thank you.

Besides being very responsive in general, Hosts went above and beyond to work with us when a winter storm impacted our travel plans. We’ll definitely be back 😊

Overall very enjoyable and comfortable location, house, and accommodations. The host was also very helpful and the pool table was a great way to wind down at the end of the night.
