Great place to stay for exploring Acadia / Bar Harbor. Amanda is super responsive

The listing was not true to description and pictures. The pros: The kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped and clean. The location was quiet and 40 minutes from Acadia. Bedrooms were spotless and very welcoming. The cons: The big issue - there were air conditioners units on four windows with poor insulation foams. The air conditioner units are not shown in the pictures so we felt misinformed. We stayed here during cold October nights so we would have appreciated them being removed and the windows fully closed. This also let mosquitos in and flies. I had to correct these insulation foams twice because they kept sliding down. Other issues - There was no laundry detergent even though we were asked to leave towels washing before checking out. There was no water pressure on the showers. There was no closet for coats near any entrance. The sink faucets upstairs were not closing completely so I had to remind my kids to keep twisting them until they are fully closed.

Worked perfect for our stay! Bedroom on main level worked perfect for my mother who can’t do many stairs. Clean, comfortable, stylish place. Owner was very responsive as a storm caused a few issues that were not their issues. Beds were very comfortable and linens were nice! Would definitely recommend!

I chose the Grant Street Getaway for our party because it looked private, clean & updated and close enough to Acadia National Park. We were delighted with our experience and impressed with the home! We checked in late but everything was as it appeared on the photos. The house was tidy and neat and ready for us. We spent a majority of our time in the kitchen, so we were a little disappointed in a few missing amenities such as coffee, salt and pepper but that's not a big deal - as we just provided that ourselves. The bedrooms were cozy and clean. We checked the bedsheets, mattresses, pillowcases and such to be sure and everything checked out! Overall, for the location, price, cleanliness and aesthetic - you can't go wrong with the Grant Street Getaway! Amanda's communication was proactive, clear and friendly and we are satisfied with our stay. 5/5 stars!

Beautiful home away from home. Us, family of five, felt instantly at home. Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, super clean, spacious, tasteful interior design. We absolutely recommend this place and hopefully we will come back any time soon 🤗
