We liked the place. It was a dated but functional house . Kitchen was good and bedrooms comfortable. The pool and lanai were nice but the one problem was that there were little gnats that floated in the pool and my wife had red blotches over her arms and legs.

The pool was beautiful, warm, and relaxing. The fencing and vegetation around the yard made it feel very private. We were within easy walking distance of a park preserve that was great for starting the day with a walk. The two bikes were also a big plus for anyone who wanted to get out for a ride. The beach is a short 5 minute car ride and is also close enough to do by bike. The villa had everything we needed to cook meals for six. We also appreciate all the beach gear Mario had available for us as well. The only thing we picked up was a sand scoop to hunt for shark teeth (a popular activity at the beach) that we left for future guests. Happy hunting! We all had a relaxing vacation and enjoyed our time in Venice. Thanks, Mario!

We spent four weeks between February 13th and March 13th at Mario’s place in South Venice. The home was clean and well-kept. The neighborhood was quiet. The highlight was the pool. The Gulf Coast was dealing with red tide. We, however, had access to the pool which made for a lovely and refreshing vacation. Mario had bikes available for us to use. There were nearby nature preserves to explore. Downtown Venice was a short 15 minute drive. We were never bored. Mario has done an excellent job in maintaining and servicing his Airbnb. We enjoyed our trip to Mario's house. The property is exactly like the pictures. The house is somewhat worn, but very well decorated. The pool is the highlight - the water was crystal clear and heated to a perfect 85 degrees. The patio furniture was comfortable and in excellent condition. The back yard is very private with a fence screened by tropical foliage. This was the best-equipped kitchen I have ever had in an AIRBNB. There were two complete sets of drink and tableware - china and glass for inside and plastic for the pool area. There was a complete set of quality cookware & utensils as well as spices and other non-perishable supplies. The grill worked perfectly and there was even a backup propane tank. Bikes and beach equip was nice touch. The bed was comfortable, the bath was functional with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. While it is a bit of a drive to downtown on heavily trafficked US 41, Manasota Beach is an easy 7 minute drive with ample parking.
