Great place to stay if visiting the Great Sand Dunes, as Rustic Rook is a short drive (~20 min) to the park. Our tent was clean, spacious, and had a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed grilling out and then having s’mores by the campfire at night, then waking up to delicious breakfast and hot coffee. The bathrooms are private, clean, and have hot water for showering. The camp hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, too!

Endroit magique, très paisible avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes et le parc de great sand dune Nous avons pu observer les étoiles et la Voie lactée un vrai bonheur Les hôtes sont très sympathiques et chaleureux , ils font en sorte que des liens se créent avec les autres voyageurs . Nous avons passé un excellent moment autour d’un feu en mangeant des s’mores tradition américaine Le petit déjeuner est compris et original typique de la région Tout est prévu , les barbecues , vous pouvez acheter des packs chez eux ( délicieuses visnde et pommes de terre) Si nous revenons un jour dans la région nous reviendrons . Le lieu est vraiment magique Merci !!!

The hosts were fantastic! The weather, though, was very HOT so a tent was no place to take an afternoon nap. Instead, we stayed in our vehicle out exploring the Great Sand Dunes National Park that was not too far away. There is a convenience store in the town of Moffat, a mile away, but there's not much to do around there. Bring a telescope/binoculars though, because this remote place has low light pollution so you will be able to see the stars/Milky Way at night if it's not too cloudy.
